Surgery
This morning i had surgery on my hand. My right hand has to be immobile for 9 days...so i have a wrap type cast on. I get to have it taken off next Thurs and a smaller one put on and hopefully my stitches take out also. So until then I probably won't be posting much since it's hard to type with one hand.

Miscellaneous Topics
Today our passports finally came in..YAY! Now all our documents are ready to send to China! I am so excited! Now to update about Mary... Me and my mom went to see her at Carolina's Medical Center today and she said she was hoping to come home Friday..Pray that she does!! Monday she will have to go back to the hospital and have another chemo treatment that will require her to stay overnight..so please keep her in your prayers. Today I also went to see a orthopedic surgeon about the Cyst on my right hand. After discussing the options we have decided to go with surgery...so next Tuesday I will have it removed. My Dr. said that my hand will be wrapped for 10 days so I won't be able to update my blog any. Then after the 10 days I will get the stitches removed. All in all it is a one month recovery. So pray for me if you can! Now I found this adorable book at Books -a- Million, and HAD TO HAVE IT! It is so cute..it has a teether on top and inside colorful pictures showing baby girls wearing dresses, playing with dolls, etc.

The Lord Is With Her- my poem
I wrote a poem the other night and thought I would share it: Please post me a comment about the poem, so I know if people like it or not....

The Lord Is With Her: By: Lindsey Jones

The Lord is with her
He is taking great care of her tiny body
Looking after each and every breath she takes

The Lord is with the girls of China
Holding all the orphans close to Him
Until they are placed with their "Forever Families"

The Lord is with me
He helps me get through all the trials that is life
My faith has gotten stronger this year
Just by the life of a baby girl I have yet to meet

The Lord is with my family
Leading us to a baby that we have been praying for
Helping us understand that He will soon answer that prayer
By the life of a orphan girl that needs us as much as we need her

The Lord is with the tiny girl that is an ocean away
Not knowing she will one day have a "forever family"
A family that will fill that void in her life and in theirs

The Lord is with Chloe
The tiny girl an ocean away
That is waiting to be apart of a "forever family", our family!
**Ps-27:10**

Do you see her??
I found this awesome picture on another adoption blog and just HAD to have it for my blog!

Chloe's in there...somewhere!!

Psalm 27:10
I was reading my bible tonight and I stumbled apon a verse that touched my heart. It is Pslam 27:10 "Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close" It makes me think of Chloe and all the orphans in the world, and how God is keeping them safe until they can be placed with their FOREVER FAMILIES!! How God is taking care of little Chloe and has always known that he has this one special girl that is meant to be apart of my family. It gives me a sense of reason that God had for my mom's 4 misscarriages (one resulting in the loss of twins). It helps me understand how God works in everybodys life, even orphans! *Below is a great picture*

"Jesus loves the little children, ALL the children of the world. Red and yellow black and white they are PRECIOUS IN HIS SIGHT, Jesus loves the little children of the world" *SO TRUE.........

Back in Charlotte :(
My best friend Mary had to be flown by a medical airplane to Carolinas Medical Center tonight from Colorado because of severe knee and ankle pain. She ended up in the hospital in Colorado yesterday not long after arriving at the camp. Tonight she will be at Carolinas Medical Center getting treated for her pain. Kim (her mom) is there with her, and is not sure how long Mary will be there, probably around 2 days at the least. I don't know much about her current condition but will post when i find out. Her younger brother (Ben) and sister (Catherine) are spending the night with Roger (their dad) tonight. Tomorrow I will have Catherine probably for the whole day and she will be spending the night with me. Please pray for Mary and if you can, post a comment for her because as soon as she gets home she can check my website and see that people who don't even know her are praying for her. It gives her strength to see that people love her and are thinking about her! ** If you want to see the hospital she goes to just click on the title of this post and it will direct you to her hospitals website**

A fun picture we took in my car!

Somewhere Out There...
~Somewhere, out there, beneath the pale moonlight,
Someone's thinking of me, and loving me tonight.
Somewhere, out there, someone's saying a prayer,
That we'll find one another in that great somewhere out there...
And even though I know how very far apart we are,
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star.
And when the night wind starts to sing its lonesome lullaby,
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky...
Somewhere , out there, if love can see us through,
Then we'll be together, somewhere out there,
out where dreams come true! ~

**This song reminds me of Chloe and what she might be thinking and wishing right now, and our journey to her ,so she can finally have someone who loves her and is coming to get her, from thousands of miles away**

I found the song on iTunes from this CD

Ni Hao!
Ni Hao (Hello)! I am "trying" to learn a little Mandarin (Chinese) before we go to China, just simple words that Chloe will probably be used to hearing from her Caretakers. I can say things like Mama, Dada, Little sister, big sister, grandma, grandpa, aunt, and my personal favorite I Love You (Wo-ai-ni)! I want that to be the first words I say to Chloe on "Gotcha Day". Learning Mandarin is so confusing. But I want to be able to teach Chloe simple Mandarin terms when she gets older. Below is Chloe and Madison written in Chinese, look how complex it looks!
**P.S- Prayers needed on Tuesday, Kim Bright, a friend of my family and a Crestview Baptist Church member will be having Open Heart surgery on Tuesday at Duke University. If you can please send a special prayer to Kim, her husband Scott, their kids Macy and Dillon and especially the doctors and hospital staff that will be performing her surgery.**

Happy 8th Birthday Catherine!!
I just wanted to wish Catherine a Happy 8th Birthday. Today June 11 is her birthday and I wanted to do a special post for her! She is my best friend Mary's little sister and has been at my house a lot since Mary has been sick. ***For Catherine- Even though you get on my nerves sometimes... I still love you like a sister and hope you will love Chloe when we go get her! I will never forget the good times like when we "Killed" Nana's fridge, the time that I drew on you with lipstick, the time you stayed up all night with me because I had to have a EEG, and especially the time we all spend at Nana's checking our blood, going to paradise, watching tapes of me when i was little and escpecially making oatmeal cookies..YUM! I Love You Cat-Bird!!***

Tonight was our annual VBS Family Fun Night, to end the week with a bang. We took up offering as usual to find out how much $$$ we raised from the whole week, then we find out who brought the most $ the Boys or Girls! The Girls won of course!!! And for a total of $750 to bring to Chloe's orphanage..YES!! Then we ate, then right before we were supposed to go outside and get on the slides and things, it starting raining buckets..but we were glad because once the rain stopped it made the slide extra slippery and wet..just the way we like it..LOL..well to rap it up it was a great week and will have commencement on Sunday!! Here are some pics of the day!

I admit it! I'm addicted to baby clothes!
Me, Mary and Betsy went shopping in Spartanburg today. We were only going to go to one store called This -N- That, a great jewerly store with a lot of bargins. We all bought way to much jewerly (I did buy my mom a couple of things) AND I also found this cool Triple Acrylic Frame where you put your name on both sides then a picture in the middle. After we went to that store we decided to go to Old Navy and look at some flip flops, after we decided what we wanted to buy, I just HAD to go to the baby department...big mistake:). I found this ADORABLE pink shirt that says "Little Sis"...OMG! It is so perfect and I was in love with it. So I decided since it was on sale that I just HAD to buy it! I'm addicted to baby clothes:):):).
P.S- The documentary "China's Lost Girls" that I ordered came today! My parents and I are going to watch it this weekend, so I will post my comments about it. ALSO as of today at VBS we now have $470 to bring to Chloe's orphanage! Go Crestview! Go Crestview! (My church)

As you can see their is nothing in the middle, we are going to put Chloe's referral picture there!

Vacation Bible School
This post is all about VBS at my church! My parents are the directors and the theme this year is "Serengeti Trek" a safari theme. Every year we have a competition between the boys and girls. Whoever brings the most money in during the week wins a prize. The money we raise during the VBS week goes to some kind of needy organization. This year my parents and I have decided to give the money to the orphanage that Chloe is from because it is sooo close to our heart, and we know that the money will benefit the orphans left behind. Tonight I spoke to the kids about the girls of China and how many girls are abandoned in China. I did a powerpoint with pictures so the kids could better understand Chinese Orphanages. I am soooo proud of my church, in just two days we have raised a total of $250 for Chloe's orphanage, and there is still 3 more days left! I will post the final amount that my church has raised for the whole week. Here are some pictures of tonight at VBS!
P.S- If you would like for me to send you the speech I read, E-mail me at Lindz87@msn.com. The speech has ALOT of information about China's lost girls. It is a whopping 7 pages.

We Love Baby!

When we recieve Chloe's referral we are supposed to send things to her like blankets, toys, pictures, etc. This is the coolest way to let Chloe know who is going to be her new family. This book is soft and has a teether on the side, and when she opens it she will see pictures of people that love her very much and will be coming to get her soon. TOO COOL:)

Personalized Shirts

You can get your child a T-Shirt like the one above with her name on it in Chinese and English. On the back it is in English and on the front it is in Chinese. I thought this was very cool because Chloe will know how her name is spelled in Chinese and help understand more about the way the Chinese write. Go to www.twobugsdesign.com to purchase this shirt and other awesome China adoption items!

Cookie and Sugar

This is my Pomeranian "Cookie" and my Aunt Debbie's Beagle "Sugar" aka "Hound Dog"

The best blanket you will ever find for your little one!

This is a Taggie! If you are wondering what exactly a Taggie is then I'm here to change your view on blankets. This is the Taggie that we made for Chloe. As you can see it has her name on it and tags all around it since kids love tags! If you have a child or will have one soon you have to go to www.taggies.com!

Documentary

I finally ordered this documentary that I have wanted for months, I can't wait to watch it! I will post my thoughts on the documentary after I watch it!

A special post for a special Mom:)

The most important thing in my life

I think about Chloe ALL the time, i even dream about her and her life when we bring her home from China. Chloe is my life and even though we can't put a face to the name yet, deep down I know that God will provide us with the baby that has always been meant for us to have. So even though little Chloe isin't home with us yet, she is still the most important thing in my life.
