Until Forever....
I saw this poem on Melissa's blog and just loved it and HAD to put it on my blog. Hope she doesn't mind ;). BTW Melissa is going to have TWIN BOYS in March or April along with her precious 3 yr. old son, Logan and is adopting from China. You Go Girl!!!

Until Forever
By: Tom Fisher

This morning in China a mother cries
She'll never forget her daughter's eyes
Her heart is broken and filled with pain
The tears run down like the falling rain.
She has no choice but to leave her there
The cost of keeping is too much to bear
She hopes her daughter will one day know
True love can be found in letting her go.

This morning in China a baby cries
Hungry and scared as tears fill her eyes
Her mother has left her in this public place
Another lost daughter of the Chinese race
Someone passing by has heard her soft moan
She's soon quickly taken to a foster home
It's here she'll reside in the care of another
Until she's adopted by a brand new mother.

That very same moment, in the U.S.A.
A woman cries as she starts to pray
Her heart is heavy but filled with much love
She prays for a daughter she thinks the world of.
"Dear Jesus I ask that your arms would be
Wrapped tightly around the one picked for me
Guard her in China `till I make my way
And then in my arms forever she'll stay."

Sacrifices

I admit it! My name is Lindsey and yes I am a sucker for baby items!! I feel much better admitting my shopping obsession..its the 1st step to therapy (yea right). Ok to go along with my wanting to buy everything bit I will now show you the result of the OMG-I-have-to-buy-this-for-Chloe spaz attack, that of course I did buy instead of the beautiful eye-shadow and bracelet (oh what I do for Chloe). Here it is from the new Fisher-Price collection: Miracles and Milestones which I love because it's main animals is Panda's and Ladybugs, which most of you know are BOTH good luck symbols in China!!! So here is what I sacrificed my fashion for...

Miracles and Milestones: Musical Panda It can hook on a crib, stroller, etc. and when you pull the green link the ladybug lights up and the panda giggles and a fun song plays!!

Check out the adoption goods...

Well ladies and gentleman, Target has done it again!! They have all kinds of adoption items that are absolutely irrestable. No wonder i luroooovee that store!! I guess since November is National Adoption Month, Target decided to come out with a unique supply of adoption CD's, jewlery, Books, etc. I finally bought the Steven Curtis Chapman CD: All I really Want for Christmas, and the little I have listened to it makes me think about next Christmas when Chloe will be celebrating it with my family!!
BTW in case you didn't know, SCC and MercyMe are having a holiday tour this winter and my Mom so got us GREAT tickets to their FIRST concert in Greenville on November 25!!!!! I'm sooooo excited and hope to see SCC's 3 beautiful China angels. I'm going to wear my "waiting for my sister from China" shirt to show everyone that I SUPPORT ADOPTION!!!!

Our 1st "letter" from Chloe!!
Well our dossier has been Logged Into the CCAA for exactly 2 months! Wow the time has flown by, probably because of the hassel of school and homework, time seems to be in overdrive to me. Believe it or not I think thanks to school, my mind isin't obsessing over things that are beyond my control, like the waiting, waiting and more waiting that is involved before recieving Chloe's referral.
This weekend we recieved a unexpected (but great) surprise in the mail from our agency. It was a newsletter from the Executive Director of CWA, a cute China magnet and a "letter" from our China Child, too sweet! It is now hanging on our refridgerator and soon will be replaced by Chloe's referral picture..I CAN"T WAIT!!!
It's amazing how few words can mean so much.....

...and because i know you wanna see a close up.....

And the award for the best Daughter of the year goes to....
.....ME for designing the most creative cake in the history of my family!! I might be a tad-bit biased but see for yourself.....

Yep thats right the cake you are looking at is a Lindsey Jones original!!! Needless to say my mom was THRILLED when she saw the cake. We decided to cut the stork and little "Chloe" out and freeze it for next year. I will now proceed off my pedestal.

Happy Birthday to MOM!!

Gotta love birthday's!! At least I do..HAHA!! For mom's birthday I thought I would put a few pictures of her throughout the years. Last year for her birthday I gave her "I Love You Like Crazy Cakes" , a wonderful book for children adopted from China. Next year on her birthday she will have TWO daughters to help her celebrate this special day. Here are some pics of Pam Jones throughout the years.....

Mom's 3rd grade pic and her Senior picture..hmm..i'm guessing Farrah hair??!!

Me and mom when I was 4 and now!

MOM: I love you sooo much and can't wait until we get Chloe. Chloe is already one lucky girl in our hearts, I can't imagine how lucky we will be when we go to China and finally see her face and hold her! I am so lucky to have a loving mother like you, I can't wait to share your love with Chloe!!!

My Decision
Since school started I have been thinking about how much work I will miss while in China, So after a lot of thought, prayer and talking to my parents and guidance
councilors, I have decided to graduate early!! I think it is in my best interest that I finish off my Senior year a semester early.
My friends that are not graduating early basically want to live their Senior year out as long as they can, and I can totally understand that. If we weren't going to China I would probably feel the same way. I will definitely miss my friends, but I look forward to going back to Chase High with Chloe so my friends can see her.
Just the thought of being able to spend as much time with Chloe makes it worth EVERYTHING imaginable. Also since my mom will be taking work off and staying home with Chloe when we get back from China, I will be able to help mom with Chloe whenever she needs me to! I know it will be hard to adjust to the time difference when we arrive back in North Carolina, esp. with a baby added to the picture. I know it will be hard to sleep with a baby in the house, so I am ready to take responsibility and get up with Chloe in the night, whenever my parents want/need me to. So come January 2006 I am officially done with school and can enjoy staying at home until we travel to China to pick up my precious sister.
As I look to the future, I look at myself being closer to the person I want to be and the person I want my parents to see, a person that they can depend on no matter what..and that makes everything WORTHWHILE!!!
