Happy birthday to US!! My dad and I almost have the same birthday. My dad's is Dec. 26 and mine is Dec. 27th!!!! So Happy Birthday to me and my dad!

me and my dad at home for our joint bday parties

Most of you probably know about my family from Madison, WI and my great aunt that has had melanomia. Unfortunatly she lost the battle with cancer on Dec. 23 and her funeral will be on Wednesday, so in a few hours we will return to Madison to be with our family members that live there.
Yes it is on my birthday but I wouldn't be ANYWHERE else than with my family.
We will be back at home on Friday and I hope to have a b-day party within the next week..probably have a couple of friends come over and go out to eat and go shopping!!!
I won't be posting until at least Saturday..so I wanted to go ahead and wish you all a Happy New Year !! Please keep my family in your prayers as we all try to comfort one another during this holiday season!!

Coming Together
During the holiday season, take time to separate your differences and come together as a family. Remember no matter your differences, you are still family and will always love one another. Cherish this special time of year by remembering your loved ones who passed on before you and looking forward with great anticipation to see what 2006 holds for you and your family and friends!!
Our agency e-mailed this holiday e-card to us today and i thought it was a sweet gesture and decided to post it on my blog!!

So Sad:(
I'm sure most of you have heard about this tragedy...
Please Pray for the baby, Emma and all that she had to endure..it is just so sad. A lot of people have been saying that "Post-adopive depression" is the reason behind the killing..but i personally think that there is absolutly NO excuse for killing a child..PERIOD!

Starting to think a little about telling OUR story...

As the months go by since our LID date (8/11), sometimes I begin to think about what to do with the footage we tape when we travel to China. After hearing about people being thankful they videoed "forever family" day, because the day felt like a blur, I started thinking about puting Chloe's adoption into one big video, instead of having tid bits of video that would not get the full effect of that journey.
So, after watching GwenBlog's video (great btw) I have decided to make a video using Red Thread Stories , I think it will be a blessing to have when Chloe get's older. Red Thread Stories helps you edit your footage into a professional video that truly shows the emotional roller-coaster that is the adoption process. If any of you are adopting or have adopted, consider Red Thread Stories to help you relive that special time in your life. I think we will definietly consider usuing Red Thread stories for Chloe's story!!
