Last week we received all of our documents from Washington D.C, it was another huge obstacle! But we did it! The documents went to the Chinese Consulate then signed by Condoleezza Rice!! WOW how AMAZING is that? Now all we have to do is get our passports ready then it's off to China our dossier goes..YAY!!

WOW! Last year at this time we were just starting the adoption process and just getting used to the idea of a new member of our family. And now we are fixing to do the nursery, what a difference a year makes!! Next year we will have a baby girl that will be my little sister!! WOW!

I guess I can say we are doing a spring/summer cleaning at my house. Since we have to clean the room that will be Chloe's nursery, we also have to clean the "playroom". So for the next couple of weeks it is spring cleaning at the Jones House! LOL!

Tomorrow is my last day of school! It is finally summer vacation and I am totally relieved! This summer is going to be my last summer being an only child; yet I am so ready to meet Chloe! I feel that when we do the nursery this summer that is when it will seem so real that we are actually that close to meeting the special girl that has had a special place in my heart since last April. I can't wait to put a face to the girl that has transformed my life this past year! I will post pictures of Chloe Madison's nursery. We hope to do it in June! My summer will be devoted to help do Chloe's nursery, redecorate the bathroom that me and Chloe will share, and think about Chloe all the time:)

Our paperwork has finally been sent to Washinton DC today. She will deliver it to the State Department and have it back to us by next Wednesday. We should be DTC by the end of the month! HOORAY!
This is a picture of my best friend Mary and her mom Kim. Mary has Leukemia and her mom has breast cancer. I am soooooo lucky to have a best friend like her that is so strong and full of life. I consider her my sister. I can't wait until she can meet Chloe she will be Chloe's "Aunt Mary" ! I LOVE YOU MARY!!!!! XOXO

Since last March when we started thinking about adopting a baby girl from China, i have been in awe of everything there is to learn about China and the girls there. Each and every day I think more and more about how my life will be next year with a new member of the family. When i am having a bad day I just think about the day that we will be holding Chloe and it helps me get through the day. I have to admit the adoption has consumed me and it has became the most important thing in my life. I consider it a blessing that we have been given this gift of adoption to a baby girl who is in need of a forever family and i can't wait to meet her!

Today me and my mom went to Babies R Us to pick out a crib set for Chloe. I was soooo excited to get it. It is called La Petite Bebe. It is so pretty, Pale pink and green with a pillow that says "little princess" and is so adorable! This is the first step for her nursery that won't be decorated until this summer when our interior decorators are able to help us decorate it and paint a mural on the wall!

Hi! The name is Lindsey and my family and I are adopting a baby girl from China. We hope to get to go to China sometime this fall. I am so excited and can't wait to bring little Chloe Madison Jones home from China.
