A great adoption song...
Most of you have heard of Steven Curtis Chapman, and Shaohannah's Hope, dedicated to helping orphans, since he himself has 3 adopted girls from China. I have his new awesome CD All Things New and totally love his music. I found from one of his older CD's Declaration a sound called When Love Takes You In, it talks about adoption from the childs point of view and the family's view. I am totally in love with this song and can't get it out of my head..here are the lyrics:
I know you’ve heard the stories, but they all sound too good to be true, You’ve heard about a place called home, but there doesn’t seem to be one for you
So one more night you cry yourself to sleep, And drift off to a distant dream..
Where love takes you in, and everything changes, A miracle starts with the beat of a heart, When love takes you home and says you belong here, the loneliness ends and a new life begins ,when love takes you in
And somewhere while you’re sleeping, someone else is dreaming too, counting down the days until they hold you close and say I love you, And like the rain that falls into the sea, In a moment what has been is lost in what will be...
When love takes you in, everything changes, A miracle starts with the beat of a heart,
And this love will never let you go, there is nothing that could ever cause this love to lose its hold,
When love takes you in everything changes, A miracle starts with the beat of a heart, When love takes you home and says you belong here, the loneliness ends and a new life begins, When love takes you in it takes you in for good, when love takes you in.

Steven has a new Christmas CD coming out called All I Really Want for Christmas and OMG look at the cover...

He is also having a Christmas Concert tour with MercyMe, and I have already asked Mom to get me tickets as soon as she can. His first tour date is going to be the day after Thanksgiving and he is coming to Greenville, SC..YAY! I will be going to his first 2005 Christmas tour concert!

You are right about the song! It totally touched our hearts the first time we heard it... I think God used SCC's story about his first addoption prepare our hearts for not only for adoption but specifically from China!

Lucky you!! Enjoy the concert... you would think living so close to Orlando we would see more of these Christmas tours... from anyone! LOL!!

Lindsey - how exciting that you are DTC! Will you be traveling to China with your parents? My husband and I just brought home our sweet sweet daughter Lacie. She is truly our miracle. Please feel free to check out our blog and your parents can also check it out too.

We have not updated in a week or so but will soon.

Take care and many blessings on your wait and journey.
